SaskCanola will continue to work for appropriate recognition of farm practices that reduce emissions and sequester carbon.

SaskCanola continues to provide input to the federal government to ensure that farmers are treated fairly when it comes to grading and dockage, transparency on Export Sales Reporting, and producer security.
Status of Policy Issue: Crop Protection Product Regulation
SaskCanola continues to ensure that canola growers have the tools they need to sustainably and responsibly grow their crops.
Status of Policy Issue: AgriStability
SaskCanola will continue to work with Minister Marit’s office and the federal government through CCGA to development new business risk management programming that will serve farmers effectively in the next agriculture policy framework.
Status of Policy Issue: Code of Practice
As a result of the feedback they received, the CRSC is determining next steps for a Code that reflects farmers’ concerns. SaskCanola is participating in this re-evaluation and will keep farmers interests front and center in these ongoing discussions.
Status of Policy Issue: Grain Contracts
SaskCanola will work with the provincial and federal governments to make contracts more fair to producers; and will support efforts to inform producers of their rights and responsibilities with regards to grain contracts.
